Austrian actor, born in Bad Ischl, Austria. At the age of eighteen, he moved to London, England, where he took acting lessons. Later, he attended the University of Perugia in Italy and spent some time in France. After starting his acting career with French and Italian commercials, he moved to Rome, Italy. He met film director Luchino Visconti in 1964 and made his debut in The Witches (1967). He is known for The Biggest Battle (1978), Ash Wednesday (1973), and Dorian Gray (1970).
