An American writer, novelist, and producer. He was born in Louisiana, United States. When he was six years old, he moved with his family to Louisiana and graduated from St. Louis Catholic High School. In 1993, he joined Louisiana State University and studied the visual arts. He also studied at the University of Arkansas College of Creative Writing and obtained a fellowship in poetry. His first novel, “Galveston,” was published in 2010 and has been translated into a number of languages. He is known for True Detective (2014-2024) and The Guilty (2021). |
