An American writer, born in New York, United States. He studied at New York University, where he majored in anthropology. He later worked in writing and as a reporter for the Arlington Sun newspaper in Virginia. He then moved to Los Angeles to work as an editor for Daring...Read more Detective magazine in 1965. He also wrote the war novel "The Dirty Dozen", which was adapted into a film of the same title in 1967. He died in Laguna Niguel, California, United States.
