An American actor, born in New York, USA. He received his education in public schools in New York. He then dropped out of school to begin his career playing the piano. He then formed a band in 1916 to work in nightclubs until he opened a nightclub and performed musical comedy shows. Then he went on to present his works in theatres and also worked in Broadway theaters in New York. He won the Peabody Award in 1951 and the Primetime Emmy Award in 1953. He also received two stars on the Walk of Fame. He was famous for presenting many artistic and cinematic works.
