He graduated from East...Read more Rockaway School in New York. He became a champion in athletics (sprint) and swimming, He served as a volunteer in the US Army in the Korean War. His most important works are Bus Stop (1956), A Hatful of Rain (1957), and Conquest of the Planet of the Apes (1072). He received a star on the Walk of Fame in 1960.
