American actor, born in Seattle, Washington, USA to a father who was an army officer. He grew up in Honolulu and Los Angeles, where he attended a school attended by the kids of film stars. He received the Golden Boot Award in 2000. He married Elizabeth Boyer Bryce, with whom he had 3 children, and she remained with him until she died. He did not marry after her death.
He is known for Flying Disc Man From Mars (1950), Government Agents vs Phantom Legion (1951), and Superman and the Mole-Men (1951). After his parents' divorce, and at the age of 17, he decided to take up acting as a profession. He took a trip to New York, where he was able to work in some theaters. He then worked in the Broadway theater and got acquainted with the actor Joel McCrea, who introduced him to the world of cinema in the forties. At the end of the sixties, Walter Reed ended his artistic career and moved to Santa Cruz to work in real estate investment as a broker. He passed away on August 20, 2001 in Santa Cruz, California, USA.
