Born in Fairchild, Wisconsin, USA, on January 1, 1919. Carol Landis received a star on the Walk of Fame in 1960. Carol Landis is a blonde American film actress and writer, born to a Norwegian father who works as a railroad mechanic and a Polish mother. She got married at a young age and worked in a nightclub as a dancer and singer before heading to Los Angeles and signing a contract with Warner Bros to play small roles in the second half of the thirties, and her roles increased with the early forties. She presented Broadway musicals in which she sang with her voice, and she also visited soldiers on the battlefront to entertain them during the Second World War, which infected her with malaria. Many critics viewed her beauty more than her acting talent. she committed suicide on July 5, 1948 in the Pacific, Palisades, California, USA. Due to taking an overdose of a hypnotic Seconal led to her death at an early age 29 years. Carol Landis' most important works include: The Adventures of Robin Hood (1938), One Million BC (1940), Topper Returns (1941) and others.
