An American journalist, novelist, playwright, and screenwriter. He was born in New York, USA, and moved to Chicago, where he began his career in journalism. In 1918, The Daily News transferred him to Berlin, Germany, where he stayed until 1920, when he began to take an interest in literature. His first book, "Erik Dorn," which was based on his experiences in Berlin, was released in 1921. He became a member of the Chicago School in Chicago before relocating to New York.
