An Egyptian former football player. He was born in Hihya, Ash Sharqia Governorate, on January 6, 1934. Raafat started his football career at Al Ittihad Alexandria Club and then moved to Zamalek SC. He was called the defense rock, and he scored the first goal in the Africa Cup of Nations, which began in 1957. Also, he won the Egyptian Premier League with Zamalek SC 3 times, and the Egypt Cup 4 times. He retired from football in 1965 and was the first player in Egypt to have a retirement match. Also, he appeared in the movie City's Talk (1964). He died on July 21, 1978, as a result of a car accident.
