Roland Young is an English actor born in London, England, United Kingdom on November 11, 1887. Roland received two stars on the Walk of Fame in 1960. He is best known for his roles in Topper (1937), The Philadelphia Story (1940), Topper Returns (1941), and And Then There Were None (1945). Roland Young studied at Sherborne College and University of London, trained as an actor at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London, and debuted in theater in 1908, and after several years, he went to New York and established himself on Broadway in 1912. He obtained American citizenship in 1918 and participated in the First World War. After the war, he worked in several silent films, and joined the talkies during the era of the thirties. He continued to work in film and television until his death in 1953.
