She was born in Los Angeles, California, USA on July 23, 1925 as Gloria Mildred DeHaven. She married 3 men and had 4 children. She received a Star on the Walk of Fame in 1960. DeHaven was born to parents who were actors and had a long history in the vaudeville theater. Gloria began her professional career as a child, when she appeared in a small role in the 1963 Charlie Chaplin movie Modern Times, helped by her father's friendship with Charlie Chaplin. Gloria DeHaven appeared regularly in musical films, such as Thousands Cheer (1943), and Step Lively (1944), but Gloria did not get major roles in the cinema, and her career waned after the musical films stopped. In 1955, she switched to theatrical work on Broadway, and entered the world of television in 1956 and remained in it until the nineties. Among the most important roles of Gloria are in Between Two Women (1945), Down Among the Sheltering Palms (1953), and Nakia (1974). She passed away on July 30, 2016 (aged 91).
