He majored in English, and continued his interest in radio, but began his career as a...Read more journalist after serving with the US Army during World War II, then moved to California, where he wrote a number of radio series. He collaborated with director Alfred Hitchcock in four films. Among his credits are To Catch a Thief, Rear Window, and Where Love Has Gone. He died on November 19, 2008.
