He was accepted by the Wales...Read more College of Music and Drama, Cardiff, but chose to study design at Cardiff School of Art and Design (1972-1975). He went to study costume designing at Harrow School of Art, London (1974-1975). He worked for two seasons as an assistant to royal designer Hardy Ames in Savile Row and at the age of 25. He launched his own fashion house and became a favorite designer of Lady Diana Spencer before her marriage. In 1981, he was chosen to design the wedding dress for Diana, Princess of Wales. He participated in the British reality TV show I'm a Celebrity.
