American actress born in Packard, Kentucky on 20 January 1926. She was married to Roald Dahl and they had five children. Patricia won many awards including an Academy Award for Best Leading Actress in Hud (1963). Her notable film roles include: The Day the Earth Stood Still (1951), Breakfast at Tiffany's (1961), and In Harm's Way (1965). She died on 8 August 2010 in Edgartown, Massachusetts of lung cancer, at age 84.
