French actress, born in Saint-Cloud, France. Her only daughter is actress Julie Andrieu. During her studies, Nicole practiced acting in amateur theater, then completed her dramatic training at René Simon's acting school and began her artistic activity with small roles in French cinema. Her first film was Antoine & Antoinette (1947). Her small roles continued, until she played her first major role in Rendezvous in July (1949), and from here she took the name Courcel as her artistic name. She worked with many French directors and actors and participated in joint films with Italy, Britain, Australia, and the Congo. Among her most important works are The Night of the Generals (1967), Father, Mother, the Maid and I (1954), La milliardaire (1991), and No Exit ( 1954). She presented her last television role in the television movie Milady and the Three Musketeers (2004). She died on June 25, 2016 in Paris.
