An American actor, born in Hartford, Connecticut, USA, on September 30, 1933. He received the Golden Boot Award in 2005. He married actress Pamela Raymond in 1960; they had two daughters, and she stayed with him until her death in 2008. She is known for Adam-12 (1970), Johnny Guitar (1954), and Woman They Almost Lynched (1953). He attended Queens Elementary School in New York, practiced school theater, stood on Broadway at the age of 9, worked on several radio series, and completed high school at Rochdale School. He joined Columbia University and began appearing on television in 1950 at the age of 17. His last movie was Lightning Jack (1994), and he ended his career with an episode of Kung Fu (1995). He resided in the main Los Angeles area after being diagnosed with dementia and moved to a memory care facility in Memphis, Tennessee in 2017 to be near his family.
