She appeared in 3 films which are Love on Toast (1937), Shadow of the Thin Man (1941), and My Girl Tisa (1948) and on 2 episodes of the series Suspense (1949) but was not very successful. She then decided to found Stella Adler Academy of Acting in New York City which teaches method acting. So many great actors studied there such as Marlon Brando, Robert De Niro, Harvey Keitel, and Elizabeth Taylor. She died of heart failure on 21 December 1992 in Los Angeles, California.
