In addition to her singing career, Helen participated in several diverse works between cinema and television drama, most notably: Pete's Dragon (1977), Airport (1975), and The Perfect Host (2010). She won a Grammy Award in 1973 for Best Female Vocal Performance for "I Am Woman" and the American Music Award in 1974. In the same year, she won a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. She married producer and actor Jeff Wald on May 25, 1968, and they separated on January 3, 1983. She died on September 29, 2020, in Los Angeles, California, USA.
