An American actor, born in Omaha, Nebraska, USA, on February 18, 1903 and died in Palm Spring, California, USA on June 7, 1984 from a heart attack. He married actress Maryon Curtis (1937-1941), and after their divorce, he married actress Dorothy Durkee in 1945. He is known for Road to Morocco (1942), Lady and the Tramp (1955), and Riffraff (1936). He became an American actor and a notable radio personality. After attending the University of Chicago, he entered the show business as a comedian in the Ziegfeld shows. He performed in vaudeville and in nightclubs and achieved instant success through his comedic works. At the end of the thirties, he decided to retire from acting and settled as a farmer on his farm in Tarzana, California. In the mid-40s, he returned to Broadway, appeared in musical comedy, and returned to his roots as a voice actor on the radio with some television works. He became one of the earliest Greek-dialect comedians who worked in vaudeville, nightclubs, cinema, and radio in the 1920s. He died in 1984 of a heart attack at the age of 81.
