A British actor, born in Birmingham, England, United Kingdom, as Horace Raymond Huntley. His credits include Operation Diplomat (1952), I See a Dark Stranger (1946), I'll Never Forget You (1951), and Night Train to Munich (1940). Raymond appeared in dozens of British films from the 1930s until the 1970s, in addition to his extensive television appearances. He succeeded in playing roles of Nazi officers, German spies, lawyers, judges, and more. He received his education at King Edward's School. He appeared for the first time at the Birmingham Theatre in 1922, and his first appearance in London was at the Court Theatre in 1924. He was the first actor to play the role of Dracula in the theater in 1927. He moved to the Duke of York's Theatre. He made his first appearance on Broadway in 1931, then returned to London to stand on the West End stage for a long time. In cinema, he debuted in What Happened Then (1934) and ended his cinematic career with Sleepwalker (1984), completing 50 years in cinema. Raymond Huntley began his television work with the beginning of British broadcasting at the end of the 1930s and participated in many works, the most prominent of which was the popular series Upstairs and Downstairs (1971-1975). He died in Westminster, London, England, United Kingdom on June 15, 1990.
