A British actress, born in London, England, on November 21, 1941. Juliet was nominated for a Golden Globe Award for Best Actress in a TV series in 1971 and Best Actress in a Motion Picture in 1973, and won a Primetime Emmy Award in 1975 and an OFTA Television Award in 2002. Her notable work includes Avanti! (1972), Nanny and the Professor (1970-1971), and Passions (1999-2008). Juliet Mills is the daughter of actor John Mills and playwright Mary Hayley Bell, and her godmother was actress Vivien Leigh. She began her acting career as an infant with her father John Mills in the movie In Which We Serve (1942). At the age of 18, she was nominated for a Tony Award for her performance in the play Five Fingers (1960), and she signed a contract with Warner Bros. and appeared in comedic films, such as Nurse On Wheels (1963) and Carry On Jack (1964). In 1966, she participated in the Western film The Rare Breed, and continued to appear on television in the 1970s, starring in the television series Nanny and the Professor in 1970. During the eighties, she focused on television. She continued her work in cinema, theater and on television, especially after obtaining the American citizenship in 1975.
