She trained from a young age as a classical ballet dancer at the Vaganova Academy of Russian Ballet in Saint Petersburg, one of the most prestigious classical ballet schools in the world, before she was discovered via Facebook to audition for the 2016 film Polina, a French film co-directed by Valérie Müller and acclaimed choreographer Angelin Preljocaj.
