He also directed 37 films between 1914 and 1920, all of which are short silent films. Fred Kelsey made his film debut in A Left Hook (1911), and ended his career with the comedy Auntie Mame (1958). He died in Hollywood, Los Angeles, California, USA, on September 2, 1961, at the age of 77.
