She made her stage debut in 1939 and wrote satire shows for the BBC. Her film debut was on The Demi-Paradise (1943), also known...Read more as Adventure for Two, starring Lawrence Olivier and The Lamp Still Burns (1943). Other notable works of hers include Stage Fright (1950), The Happiest Days of Your Life (1950), Laughter in Paradise (1951), and The Americanization of Emily (1964). She married Reggie Grenfell and did not have children. She died in 1979 in Chelsea, UK.
