An American actor, born in Springfield, Massachusetts, USA. Ralph got married three times and had no children. Ralph's most notable works include The Glass Menagerie (1950), Minesweeper (1943), Torpedo Boat (1942), and Copacabana (1947). An American actor, prolific in film and television. Early in his career, he worked as an actor and stage manager on Broadway. He began his film career in 1930. Most of his roles were secondary or supporting roles, and he frequently appeared in Westerns, always portraying a tough guy. He often played detectives, police officers, henchmen, bartenders, truck or taxi drivers, sheriffs, cooks, conductors, guards, and waiters. Ralph served in the US Infantry during World War I. He died in Los Angeles, California, USA, on June 20, 1963, from heart disease, at the age of 64.
