An American actor, born in Columbus, Ohio, USA. His most notable works include The Beverly Hillbillies (1966-1971), Phone Call from a Stranger (1952), The Kid from Brooklyn (1946), and The Rat Patrol (1966). An American second director, assistant director, production manager, supporting actor, extra, and stunt double in film and television. After graduating from high school, his stylish and sophisticated appearance enabled him to break into the film industry, playing socialite roles during the 1940s and 1950s. He then got his big break when he became the permanent understudy to star Kirk Douglas, landing small roles in most of Douglas's films. He then embarked on a second career working as a second director and assistant director on television programs and films. He died in Rosarito Beach, Mexico, on October 1, 1985, at the age of 69.
