A Swiss film and television actor, born in Zurich, Switzerland, to Greek-Italian immigrants. He grew up speaking three languages: German, Italian and Greek. His parents wanted him to be a lawyer, but he entered the Zurich University of the Arts, from which he graduated in 1995. Then he went to Germany, where he worked in theaters in Bonn, Düsseldorf and Cologne.
After success in German theater, he began to focus on appearing in films and series, and his first film was Jazz (1994). His credits include Resident Evil (2002), Baal (2004), Riding Up Front (2006), and Wo ist Fred? (2006). In addition to acting, he has always had a passion for music. He joined the band Big Gee in Cologne, Germany, in 2004.
He won the 2017 Swiss Television Award for Best Leading Actor for the TV series Tunnel of Dreams.
