An Egyptian writer, born in Alexandria in 1977. After graduating from the Police Academy in 1998, he worked for one year as a police officer and then resigned to practice international law until 2013 when he stopped practicing law and joined the Academy of Cinema Arts and Technology (Raafat El Mehi), graduating with honors in 2015. His graduation project, The Yellow Tulip, won the Mohamed Baioumy Prize at the Alexandria Mediterranean Countries Film Festival in 2016. The script of his first feature film, Kafr Abdu, received a certificate of appreciation at the Mamdouh Al Laithy competition at the same festival in 2017. His third short documentary film, The Daily Life of a Shoeshiner, was screened in the Panorama section of the Ismailia International Film Festival for Documentaries and Shorts in 2019 and was selected to be screened in the official competition at the Durban International Film Festival in South Africa in 2019.
