He worked in Western films and supported the short films of The Three Stooges as he presented 28 films of them. He worked in several jobs, the last of which was a sailor before becoming an actor. His first silent films was Walloping Wallace (1924), and his voice film was Courtin Wildcats (1929). His last film was The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance (1962), and he died at the age of 73.
