He was recruited during the World War ll and met in the army with actor Peter Sellers, and they became a lifetime friendship. He worked on the radio of BBC. His most important works are: The Pink Panther Strikes Again (1976), Superman lll (1983), The Return of the Pink Panther (1975), and A Shot in the Dark (1964). He died in 2013 at the age of 90.
