An American actor, stuntman, and assistant director, born in New York, USA, as Robert Francis Hoy. He married two wives and had a child. His most important works include The Outlaw Josey Wales (1976), Bite the Bullet (1975), The High Chaparral (1967-1971), and The Enforcer (1976). His career spanned 55 years, and he worked as a double for many stars. He served in the US Marines during World War II, and after the war, he participated in his first movie, Ambush (1950). He participated in many TV series, most notably Bonanza (1960-1971), where he appeared in 12 episodes. His last appearance was in the series NCIS (2007). He died in Northridge, California, USA on February 8, 2010 of cancer.
