An Italian writer and director, born in Brescia, Italy. He is best known for writing the films Big Deal on Madonna Street (1958), The Organizer (1963), Seduced and Abandoned (1964), and The Good, the Bad and the Ugly (1966). He was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Writing...Read more for The Organizer (1965) and Casanova 70 (1966). He also won the Best Screenplay Award for the film La Terrazza (1980) at the Cannes Film Festival. He passed away in Rome, Italy, due to a heart attack.
