American actor, born in New York City, on July 6, 1885. He is known for The Star of Bethlehem (1912), Pastures Green (1916), and Jess (1912). He was an actor, director and assistant director. He began his artistic career in the early 20th century by appearing in theater productions and in many films. He continued his cinematic career starring in non-silent films and presented hundreds of supporting roles. He debuted with the short film Nicholas Nickleby (1912), and his last film was The Great Race (1965), which was shown after his death on October 15, 1964 from pneumonia, at the age of 79. |
