He then moved to Hollywood after co-writing with Martin Scorsese. He also worked for Chartoff-Winkler Productions. His works include American Boy: A Profile of - Steven Prince (1978) and The Last Waltz (1978). He died on September 11, 2019, in Studio City, California, USA.
