He published biographies of royal personalities such as Princess Diana, Prince William, and Prince Harry, and celebrities including Tom Cruise, Madonna, and Monica Lewinsky. In 1993, his book Diana: Her True Story was adapted into a TV movie of the same name, with Serena Scott Thomas as Diana, which he co-produced.
