He emigrated to Belgium, where he worked as a miner, and then returned to Rome, where he worked in a restaurant, where he was discovered by director Mario Monicelli's assistant. He gave him a part to play in...Read more Big Deal on Madonna Street (1958). He appeared in more than 100 productions, such as The Girl with a Pistol (1968) and Riff Raff Girls (1959). He published his own autobiography by the end of 2004. A documentary, L'insolito ignoto-Vita acrobatica, was made in 2012 about his life. He suffered from Alzheimer's and passed away in a nursing home in Tolfa on August 20, 2010.
