An American actor, born in Butler, Pennsylvania, USA, on April 16, 1898, as Howard Jack Negley. He got married to Lydia I Powell in 1974. He grew up in Canton, Ohio, and played football at Washington and Jefferson College. He was a second lieutenant in the army during World War I. Among his works are The Savage (1952), Kansas City Confidential (1952), and Murder at Malibu Beach (1946). He died in Kerrville, Texas, USA, on November 7, 1983.
