A Lebanese-born American actor, born in Qab Elias, Lebanon. He was married to two wives and had one child. His most notable works include The Green Archer (1925), The Desert Hawk (1944), The Sea Wolf (1941), and Radio Patrol (1937). Frank Lactin was a prolific Lebanese-American actor from the silent era of cinema to the sound era, and he obtained American citizenship in 1939. He was born in Lebanon to Russian immigrant parents and was educated at an American school in Lebanon. He began his career in Hollywood in 1915, after a period in Canada. He gained his reputation by playing evil Indians and cold-blooded killers in Westerns. During the silent era, he worked for several film companies and appeared in several Three Stooges short films, and he joined the sound era. He died in Woodland Hills, Los Angeles, California, USA, on July 8, 1968, of respiratory failure, at the age of 70.
