He began his artistic activity in the twenties as a comedian in Los Angeles theaters. In the early thirties, he worked in cinema; in the early fifties, he participated in television programs. He also formed the comedy group Felipin Y Rosita with his wife and presented their shows in Spanish. He died in Los Angeles, California, USA, on March 9, 1992, from pneumonia, at the age of 93.
