Among his most important works are The Adventures of...Read more Sherlock Holmes (1984), Shakespeare in Love (1998), Traveling Man (1984), and Hazell (1978). He graduated from the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA) and worked in London theaters. He served in the British Royal Air Force before becoming a printer. Desmond McNamara died in 2022 from a lung infection at the age of 84.
