An American actor, born in Springfield, Illinois, USA. He won the Photoplay Award in 1944 for his role in The Hitler Gang. Bobby's most notable works include The Devil with Hitler (1942), Hitler: Dead or Alive (1942), Nazty Nuisance (1943), and The Hitler Gang (1944). Bobby is an American stage, film, and television actor of German descent who played a variety of character roles. He began his acting career at the age of ten in the dance halls of the Olympic Theatre and vaudeville shows. He moved to traveling variety shows at the age of 18, then appeared in many theaters, beginning on Broadway in 1919 and continuing through the 1920s. He began his film career in the mid-1920s and continued through the early 1960s, embodying all types of roles as a set designer, radio announcer, hotel manager, dance director, bandleader, costume designer, detective, and speech coach, while also portraying Hitler in nine films. Bobby Watson died in Hollywood, Los Angeles, California, USA, on May 22, 1965, at the age of 76.
