The Berlin Festival honors the legendary Meryl Streep

The legendary Meryl Streep has been nominated for many awards for her movie “The Iron Lady”. The festival will also present in its upcoming event on the 14th of February “The Honorary Golden Bear” to the infamous actress. The festival will display some of many movies by Meryl Streep , especially ones where she achieved the Oscar for best actress and best supporting actress, in “Kramer verses Kramer” and “Sophie’s Choice”In an official statement the director of the festival Deter Coslik expressed that he is proud to present the honorary Golden Bear award to a great actress like Meryl Streep.If all goes well, Streep will head to Berlin to receive her award then travel back to the USA again to attend the Oscars on the 26th of February where she will surely win an award. Streep plays the role of ex British Prime Minister Margret Thatcher in her new movie “The Iron Woman” reflecting the political struggle for power and its dilemmas.
