To the surprise of many and to the unawareness of the Iranian government; the organizing committee of the New Horizon Iranian Film Festival agreed to screen the Israeli film "Gentle Dog" in their next run which is taking place next month.Israeli film director and actor David Shadi sent a copy of his film via email in order to participate in the festival. In return, the organizers sent a reply back thanking him for the email and requested the screening edition for the festival along with a form to be filled to issue him a visa to enter Iran.Lead actress Yael Duani commented on this acceptance as touching but funny just like the film. And added she will not attend the screening of the film at the festival. The film is adapted from a true story about a man and a woman who meet at a wedding and when they are both very drunk, the woman invites the man to her house. The woman enters her bedroom and the man is stuck in the living room with her giant dog who warns him from getting anywhere near her.
