"Sayedat Al Meedan" in the International Documentary Film Festival of Khouribga.

Taking place between 29 August and 1 September in the Moroccan city of Khouribga is the 4th International Documentary Film Festival.Out of 74 applicants, only 12 films are accepted in the festival to compete on the Grand Award, Jury Award and Best Director Award. Films participating are "Marmara Under Fire" by David Sikara from Turkey, "Al Hisn" by Faisal Al Otaibi from Saudi Arabia; "Nesaa Yarfodn Al Mawt" by Mohamed Qenawy from Qatar, "Qooly Ya Helwo" by Mohamed Janahy from Bahrain, "Man Machine" by Rosie Corella and Alfonso Moral from Spain, "Al Atfal Dahaya Al Falouga" from Iraq by the French producer For a Alny, "Sayedat Al Meedan" by Adel Gamal from Egypt, "Bride Kidnapping" from Kurdistan by the American producer Jason Mojica, "Nahno Hona" by Abdallah Yehya from Tunisian, "Safahat Manseya" by Ahmed Zayed from Morocco, "Al Aqsa Yaskon Al Aqsa" by Abdelrahman Laawan from Morocco and finally "Lahazat Qabl Al Qast" by Atef Essa from Palestine. The jury is chaired by Kuwaiti Abdullah Jawdat, media expert and founder of several channels and consists of Ms. Rowan Edamen (Qatar), producer and director of programs at Al Jazeera, and coach producer of documentary films Hilmi Etikan (Turkey), producer Fayk Jerada (Palestine), and Abu Abdallah Awad (Morocco) professor at the University Abdelmalek Saadi.Next to the official jury is the critics jury which consists of journalists and critics Abdallah Al Sheikh, Mostafa Al Taleb from Morocco and Sabreya Salem from Algeria who will choose the best professional film to receive the Critics Award.This festival is organized by the International Documentary Film Festival association in Khouribga and is supported by the Moroccan Cinematography Center, Al Charif Office for Phosphate, Khouribga Region Labor, Al Jazeera Documentary Channel and Civil Association of Khouribga.
