Yosri Nasrallah snatches the Director of the Year Award at Abu Dhabi Filmfest.

October 15 marked an important date in the history of Arabic cinema at the Abu Dhabi Film Festival as it cared for the worldwide premieres of Arabic films as well as awarding the Director of the Year from Variety Magazine which was given to Egypt director Yosri Nasrallah.Nasrallah received his award in an invitation only ceremony at Qasr Al Emarat Hotel. The ceremony includes the premiere of "Ma Nmotsh – We Won't Die" which is participating in the Long Feature Film contest. Joining director Noury Bou Zeid and producer Abdel Aziz Malouka on the red carpet are three actors from the film and they are Nour Mzawi, Behram Alawi and Suhair Bin Emara.Within the New Horizon contest; Afghani writer and director Ateeq Rahimi will attend the premiere of his film "Stone of Patience" which is adapted from his novel under the same name. Iranian actress Kalshiftah Farahani and producers Fredreck Doma and Elahi Saharay Rad will join. Also, the day includes the screening of two films from the Emirates Films Competition. Other shows consist of the premiere of "Love is What We Need" by Danish director and Oscar winner Suzanne Bayer and actor Sebastian Giessen will attend. Khaled El Nabawy's "Al Mowaten – The Citizen" screens for the second time in the festival.
