Scriptwriter Medhat Al Adl stated exclusively to that Syrian actress Kenda Alloush is a candidate to star in the remake of the Moroccan film "Al Maghdoub Aleyhim" (The Cursed).

El Adl said he will soon start preparing to make the Egyptian version of the film, which participated in the last Cairo International Film Festival where he was a jury member and thought immediately of remaking it.

The main reason that El Adl was excited about remaking "Al Maghdoub Aleyhim" was how it handled terrorism and how it wipes the identity and brains of young people who follow its path.

Menna Shalaby and Khaled Abol Naga are also nominated to star in the film, both of whom were jury members in the festival as well.

"Al Maghdoub Aleyhim" which is directed by Moroccan director Mohsen Basri, will mark the first time in the Middle East where an Arabic film is remade by another Arabic country, which makes this experience similar to European films that are made in American versions.
