April Fools! Ragheb Alama Pulls Prank with Quitting Arab Idol Tweet

It seems that superstar Ragheb Alama has not only good judging skills but a good sense of humor. He tweeted yesterday that he decided to quit the judging committee of the TV talent show “Arab Idol.” Today, he revealed the tweet was a very clever April Fool's prank, and Alama’s way of telling his fans “Happy New Year.”

Alama followed that tweet with another that said, ”I wanted to share this day with everyone and fool you all. Hope you will always remember me on this day and every year.” Alama also tweeted his photo saying “Happy New Year” and “1 April: APRIL FOOL.”

Even though this tweet negates the previous tweet, there still is truth behind rumors of disagreements with Ahlam, which have been very clear since the beginning of the season.

Meanwhile, Alama is participating in a press conference for national “Students with Learning Disabilities” day.
