Elham Chahine: Al-Sissy is a symbol of patriotism

Egyptian actress Elham Shaheene praised yesterday's speech by General Abd El Fttah Al-Sissy. Chahine said in exclusive statements to that Al-Sissy is a symbol of Egyptian patriotism. She stressed that the ministry of defense continuously proves that asking the people to go to the streets to give him a mandate to face terrorism is a wise decision from a man who knows how to run a country.

Shaheene pointed that in his speech, the General showed his deep love to the country, stressing that he doesn't want to rule Egypt but just to provide security to the Egyptian people. However the actress said : “I do not deny that If General Al-Sissy will run for president, I will be the first to vote for him for his political wisdom. He was also able in a short time to grab Egyptians' love and unify their will.”

The Egyptian actress said that the most influential part in the General's speech for her is when he said :”It's the will of the people that's governing Egypt.”She also demanded the Egyptian people to refrain from using the word “Askar” or militant when describing the Egyptian army as it does not suit our decent civilized army that protects our country, using her words.

Shaheene expressed her deep sadness on the martyrs falling from both conflict parties. She said all blood is sinful and that she hoped that the sit-in crackdown would have been peaceful without a single drop of blood. In the same time she praised the army and the police in their dealing with terrorists having the least number of victims possible.
