Palm Springs Film Festival to Honor Meryl Streep

The award winning actress Meryl Streep will be honored by the Palm Springs International Film Festival. She will receive the Icon Award, which "honors a creative talent who, through the course of his or her career, has created a body of work which symbolizes the highest level of achievement in the motion picture art form."

Streep is athree time Oscar winner and one of the most nominated femaleactresses in history. Her awarded roles are " The Iron Lady,""Sophie's Choice" and " Kramer vs. Kramer." She willappear in Stephen Sondheim's “Into the Woods.”
