Luxor African Film Festival Screens 'The Children's Republic' at Opening

The third Luxor African Film Festival starts Tuesday, with the screening of The Children's Republic, directed by Guinean filmmaker Flora Gomes.

The film is a 2012 production, and co-stars Danny Glover, who will be honored in the opening ceremony, along with Gomes and Egyptian actor Mahmoud Abdel Aziz.

The opening ceremony will air live on the Egyptian television's Channel 2, and the satellite channel Nile Cinema. The festival will conclude on the 24th of March.
